Q magazine and NME magazine are inspirations for creating my own music magazine.
NME includes many different artists but mainly focusses on the Indie/Rock culture. Q magazine is very similar but also includes artists which are very popular at the time of the magazine release, which is monthly. NME is released weekly.
I enjoy listening to a mixture of Indie pop/Indie Rock music, as well as many other people my own age, therefore I will shape my magazine towards this.
NME and Q are both a hybrid of different music genres, I want to use this for my own magazine as I feel a variation creates a more interesting and appealing magazine, therefore attracting a stronger audience.
My target audience for my magazine is around 16-25 year olds, male and female but mainly focussing on a more feminine side.
